The MET is a world treasure, and every tour is different because the museum is constantly shifting its half-a-million works around. Focus on European art, with an emphasis on the Renaissance. Or move farther afield within these hallowed walls.
Henry Clay Frick (1849-1919) built his home and grew his art collection with the intention to make them public. It’s a fascinating tour from Renaissance through 19C masterworks.
Let’s walk and talk about the architecture around us. Recent tours include: Lower Manhattan (Battery Park, World Trade Center, Financial District, Trinity Church, City Hall, Woolworth Building) Mid-Town, Lincoln Center, and Harlem (with car & driver).
