Passion Plays

To: Susan S. Szenasy, Editor in Chief, Metropolis Magazine (edit@metropolismag.com)

Dear Ms. Szenasy,
It is pathetic that, at this late remove from the “event” Alex Gorlin glamorizes his biography by wildly exaggerating an incident in which he recalls I figure.
In addition to numerous other inaccuracies in his Metropolis Magazine posting of March 20, 2006 his statements that I hurled “profane invectives” at Eisenman and that “it took all of Hejduk’s powers of persuasion to quiet me down” are flatly inaccurate though they serve to connect Gorlin’s self-made autobiography with some significant names in architecture. “Hurling profane invectives” is not, and never has been, my style.
Sincerely,
Rod Knox
